Signature background remover — a transparent signature from a photo
Lifts ink off paper — even a phone photo with a shadow across the page — and trims it to the signature. Your pictures never leave your device.

How to use the signature cutout
- Sign on plain white paper and take a photo straight on, in daylight.
- Add it here — Ink is already chosen.
- Use Keep fainter strokes if thin parts are missing; switch the ink to black or blue pen if you like.
- Download a trimmed transparent PNG, or a JPG on white for forms.
Shadows and uneven light, handled
Phone photos of paper are brighter on one side and often have a hand shadow. Before deciding what’s ink, PicCutout estimates the paper’s brightness around every point and divides it out, then picks the ink threshold automatically. Dots and paper grain are removed.
For documents and forms
A transparent PNG sits on any document without a white box. Some online forms want a small JPG on white instead: choose white as the background and JPG. Size and pixel limits differ between portals — confirm on the official portal before you upload.
Questions
How do I remove the background from my signature?
Photograph the signature on white paper, open it here, and download PNG. The paper becomes transparent and the file is trimmed to the signature.
Parts of my signature are missing.
Move Keep fainter strokes to the right. If the paper starts showing, go back a little, or switch off Remove dots and paper grain for very fine strokes.
Can I make the ink darker or blue?
Yes — choose Black or Blue pen under Ink colour. As written keeps the photographed colour, deepened slightly.
Is my signature stored anywhere?
No. The signature is processed in your browser and never uploaded. Close the tab and it’s gone, apart from the file you downloaded.
What size should a signature be for an online form?
It depends on the form — many ask for a small JPG with pixel and KB limits. Confirm on the official portal; use a white background and JPG here, then resize if the portal requires exact dimensions.
